Measure, time and rank your scrolling.

📏 Measure

Every pixel you scroll, up or down, turned into real feet with your screen’s pixel density. Live, in the corner of every page and in your phone’s notification.

⏱️ Time

How long you actually spent scrolling today, next to the distance. Green under your usual day, red once you pass it.

🏆 Rank

A global leaderboard, daily and monthly. Sign in and your phone and browsers count as one of you.

Measured, not guessed

How far does the average person scroll?

Nobody really knows. The figures in the news — hundreds of feet a day, dozens of miles a year — are worked out from screen time and a guess at how far one flick goes. Scroll Feet counts yours, pixel by pixel, and shows you where that puts you against everyone else who’s counting.

What you get

Green most days. Red on the ones that count.

The Scroll Feet meter sitting green in the corner of an article, reading 1,180 feet at 0.6x of a usual day.
Under your usual day. The meter stays green and stays out of the way.
The same meter turned red at 2,980 feet, 1.5x a usual day, with the share button showing.
Past it, the meter turns and a Share button appears — one click copies the picture.
Twelve premium looks for the meter: a lightning bolt, a holographic heart, a coffee mug, a moon, a rocket, a potion, a cat, a flame, a crown, a gem, a mushroom and a paw.
Premium makes it yours: twelve ready-made looks, or build your own from shapes, palettes, patterns, effects and frames. Your share images wear it too. New looks keep landing in premium as they're made.
The premium stats dashboard: today's total, week, month and lifetime feet, a climb chart past Mount Everest, and bars for the last 14 days.
Premium also keeps the history: every day you have tracked, what you beat, and how far the whole climb has gone.

Install

One click.

Firefox — step by step
Download the .xpi. It is signed by Mozilla, so Firefox offers to install it rather than refusing it.
Firefox asks to add it. Click Add. If nothing happens, drag the file onto a Firefox window.
Updates arrive on their own. Firefox checks daily and installs new versions without you doing anything.
Scroll anything. The meter appears bottom-right and starts counting.
Android — step by step
Download the .apk on the phone itself, open it, and allow installs from your browser.
Open Scroll Feet and tap “Turn the meter on”. Switch it on in the Accessibility list — that is the only way Android lets an app see scrolling. It reads distance only, never what is on your screen. A few apps — YouTube among them — do not report their scrolling to Android at all, so their time will not be counted.
The meter lives in your notification shade, counting all day, and taps you once the moment you pass your usual.
Google Play listing is in testing — join the test to get it from Play.
Chrome, Edge, Brave — step by step
Open the Chrome Web Store page and click Add to Chrome. Edge and Brave install from the same page.
Scroll anything. The meter appears bottom-right and starts counting. Updates install themselves.
